On July 9, 2006 fourteen female singer/songwriters took the stage at Muskoseepi Park to deliver Grande Prairie’s own mini Lilith Fair. The age of the performers spanned more than four decades with many musical styles represented. A beautiful energy surrounded the event and the women vowed to continue it as a means of offering support and opportunity to one another. On January 26, 2007 these women united to perform a sell out show at Second Street Theatre. In March 2009 a new group of women performed to a packed house at the Douglas Cardinal Theatre at GPRC and tickets are now on sale for the third womansong to be held at the Douglas Cardinal Theatre on January 29, 2011.
